Following the “LaLanne Moment of Movement,”
Cate Dill will launch an unprecedented 5,246 mile trek coast to coast promoting LaLanne’s philosophy of life-long, healthy and active living called the "Let's Get Moving America" campaign (read more below).

The “LaLanne Moment of Movement,” is meant to honor Jack LaLanne, the “Godfather of Fitness,” in a manner he would truly appreciate - through positive and fun physical activity for people of all ages and abilities! At a time when obesity and inactivity threaten the health of millions of Americans (and people worldwide), CAHPERD and MAHPERD vows to honor LaLanne’s memory by continuing his legacy - promoting healthy, active lifestyles, beginning with quality physical education and activity programs in our schools, and continuing lifelong healthy habits and programs for people of all ages. A Sudbury, Massachusetts Middle School Physical Education Teacher Catherine "Cate" Dill, will launch an unprecedented 5,246 mile trek coast to coast beginning February 1, 2011 in Santa Barbara, CA. Called "Let's Get Moving America," Coach Cate will promote physical activity throughout the school day, eating nutritiously, and living one's passions by walking, running, cycling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking, and inline skating across the country to her final destination in Boston, MA by mid-June.
