What comes with the Recess Program
Recess Program - Popular End of Year Gift
Last Minute Spending for 2022
Schools are academically focused today. There are more bullying incidents and fewer children are participating in sports after school. Recess has become a crucial break in students' day.
Peaceful Playgrounds Recess Program is a low cost do-it-yourself kit to improve recess. We offer a system of organizing the playground so that children can be successful. In 30 years of education, when I was a principal, I learned that the outdoor environment really contributes to learning in the classroom.
We identified 5 things that went wrong on the playground and we put solutions in place to correct those problems.
We have a method of solving problems that's easy for schools to implement. We have over 100 game markings, like hopscotch and 4 square with a consistent set of game rules for all children to play by. We have staff training in which we teach the importance of consistent expectation for the playground. We provide over 100 pieces of equipment like jump ropes and balls, scoops and hoops, that keep children active.
There is a whole system of turning around what's happening on the playground that effects the entire staff, teachers and children.
You're going to see bullying decrease, more active children, more children involved in games and we believe classrooms are more manageable.
It's been adopted in over 8000 schools across the nation and teachers tell us that it has made a tremendous difference in the classroom. According to founder, Dr. Melinda Bossenmeyer, "I do this because it makes a huge difference in the whole school environment. It works!"
